Making sense – a multi billion industry
May 14, 2012Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University and Microsoft Research estimate that 70 billion hours are spent every year trying to make sense of collected online information.

Obviously, being able to recycle the conclusions would speed speed up learning globally.
If 70 bn hours are spent on making sense of the collected information it is probably fair to assume that people has spent ten times that collecting it…
